Heya, I'm James! If you met me online, you may know me as alphaFox. I have had other accounts under the usernames Asahi, Kuzuki, and KuzuPod as well. I'm a high schooler interested in technology (especially older tech), cars, anime, and music. For better or for worse, I'm obsessive, spontaneous, and awkward, and my sense of humor is hit-or-miss.
I identify primarily with he/they pronouns, though I don't mind which pronouns you use for me. I communicate primarily in English, but I can understand Filipino as well -- I'm just unconfident in speaking/typing it.
I'd say I'm familiar with both the hardware and software sides of technology. I'm no expert, but I probably have more experience than the everyday user. That being said, I still only have a basic grasp on soldering, circuitry, and programming, compared to the people in the communities I am active in. I love repairing, upgrading, and modifying electronics, particularly old ones. There's something so intriguing about getting old electronics to work in the modern day and actually using them. It's also so cool to see the quirky things that companies made in the past. Of course, I still have (semi-)current devices to use on a daily basis.
Admittedly, I don't have any experience working on cars... at least the mechanical stuff. I've done stuff in the cabin (ex. routing cables, replacing a radio, removing a door panel) but never actually worked on one. Not even an oil change. Regardless, I love driving my 2008 Toyota Matrix, which isn't exactly an exciting car (especially with it being an automatic) but I love it anyways. Even though I don't work on cars, I still nerd out about every little spec, quirk, and feature of certain cars.
